Sergino Dest keen on Bayern Munich move this summer

Speaking to Ajax1, Dest said that he is aware of the interest from the Bundesliga holders and he would like to make the switch to the Allianz Arena in the near future, he told: "I was recently in Germany because I have family there. I am aware of Bayern's interest so if everything goes as planned I want to know more about the club so I thought it would be a good idea to pay them a visit while I was there."

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a terrific standout season with the Eredivisie champions and his performances have already made him a regular with the United States national team. Bayern currently have Benjamin Pavard as the undisputed starter on the right side of the defence but there are suggestions that the Frenchman could be shifted into a central role in the future.
As such, Dest has been earmarked as the long-term option for the right-back spot and it remains to be seen whether Bayern can strike an agreement with the Eredivisie champions when the transfer window reopens in a few months’ time. The German giants came up with a £20m bid for Dest during the January transfer window but the package was turned down by Ajax, who wanted at least £30m as the initial package for the teenager.

Hansi Flick’s side are deemed to be planning an improved offer worth £25m and they are hopeful that would be sufficient to convince Ajax, considering the various performance-based add-ons to be included for the future.
