Luis Enrique Not Looking at Real Madrid Results Going into Final Game

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique claims that the club will be only focusing on getting three points in the final game against Eibar.

He says that the focus will not be on Real Madrid’s result against Malaga. The two teams go into the final game of the season with an opportunity to win the La Liga title. Madrid are clearly the favourites after having established a three-point advantage following their 4-1 win over Celta de Vigo in the midweek action. Even a draw for Madrid in the match against Malaga will be sufficient, as they have a three point advantage.

Luis Enrique will be aware that it would be tough to expect Real Madrid to suffer only the fourth defeat of the season after having come to the stage of the competition. However, one of the few advantages for Barcelona is that Madrid are on the road for this final match of the season.

Madrid may have managed eight consecutive wins on the road, but they went through a terrible run of form during the turn of the year with defeats against Sevilla and Valencia. Barcelona’s away form will take the blame if the Catalan club do not win the title this season. Madrid are aiming for their first league title since the 2011-12 season when Jose Mourinho was in charge of the club.

"We have one game left and the objective is clear: To get three points. [Madrid] have two games left, but they're difficult games away against Celta and Malaga, two grounds which we've lost at -- we've lost in Vigo a couple of times. If we've lost there, then any team can lose there,” said Enrique came before Madrid’s game against Celta de Vigo. Barcelona have requested professionalism from Malaga, who have nothing to play for in the final match of the season.
