BARCELONA DOMINATE

Barcelona dominated their La Liga match against Granada as they enjoyed having more than 80% of possession and launched over 20 shots at goal at the goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis but it wasn’t enough for the team of Gerardo Martino to even rescue a single point as they lost 1-0.

This defeat has allowed Real Madrid on snatching the 2nd place spot of the Spanish League while some fans are even in doubt if Barcelona will be able to recover and protect the league trophy for another year.

Following the conclusion of the match Gerardo Martino went on to tell Kashmobet that his players tried absolutely everything to score but it just wouldn’t happen.

Martino said: "We no longer have matters in our own hands, but I couldn't ask for anything more from the players. They tried in every way possible. They created plenty of chances, but today it wasn't to be. I can't criticize them for anything apart from obviously not finishing off the chances we had."

This defeat comes right after Barcelona suffered their Champions League elimination after losing against Athletic Madrid.

Despite having been eliminated from the Champions League and falling down a few spots in the Spanish League, Martino stated that Barcelona will continue fighting until the end.
"It is clear that I cannot feel good after the results we have had. However, that also doesn't mean that we won't fight until the end. We can't confuse the sadness we feel after a disappointing result with giving up. We will never give up until it is mathematically impossible." Martino added.

If Athletic Madrid continues their fine form in the league, this would be their first title they win since the 1995-96 season.
