ANSU FATI SET FOR BARCELONA COMEBACK

Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati is said to be closing in on a return to action after several months out with a serious knee injury. This is according to the report from Diario Sport which revealed that the hot prospect is making progress in his bid to return to full fitness. The report also said that the Barcelona attacker is not rushing his comeback from the knee injury that has kept him away from the Barcelona first team squadsince November 2020. The priority for him is to regain full fitness before returning to the pitch to help Barcelona ahead of the rest of their games this season.

AnsuFati was having a great season before the injury after emerging as a star for both Barcelona and his country, Spain. The 18-year-old had a return of five goals and four assists in the opening ten games of the season for Barcelona in all competitions before he tore the meniscus in his left knee.

The initial check on him ruled him out for four months. The young Barcelona player was not expected back in action until March of this year but it looks like the player would be back in the Barcelona squad earlier than that as per the aforementioned report from Diario Sport. AnsuFati could even be fit for the Champions League round of 16 clash with French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG). Barcelona and PSG will battle each other for the right to secure a place in the quarterfinals of the competition. New Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman and his players will entertain PSG at the Nou Camp in the first leg next month before the second leg takes place at the Parc des Princes. Barcelona fans would be hoping that AnsuFati plays a part in the two Champions League games.
