NETO ATTRACTING INTEREST FROM FLAMENGO - REPORT

Barcelona shot stopper Neto could return to his native Brazil on the back of his reports that Brazilian Serie A giants Flamengo want to sign him. The interest of Flamengo in the Barcelona goalkeeper was disclosed via a report from Diario Sport which stated that Flamengo have already held talks for Neto and that they want to sign him either in the winter transfer window which opened on Saturday or during the summer's transfer window.

BARCELONA NEED €10M MORE FOR TORRES

New Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez wants to bolster his attack in the upcoming winter transfer window and Manchester City forward Ferran Torres has been identified for the job.

Spanish attacker Torres has shown a good eye for goal plus versatility since Premier League champions Manchester City signed him from La Liga side Valencia. His experience of previously playing in the Spanish league is an added advantage in their pursuit of the player.

BARCELONA CONSIDERING TRINCAO RECALL

Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona are said to be considering whether to recall Francisco Trincao from his loan spell at Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers. MundoDeportivovia Daily Record claimed that new Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez is behind the idea on the possibility of Trincao returning to the club earlier than expected next year.

CITY, BAYERN EYEING DE JONG

Italian publication Calciomercatohas disclosed that English champions Manchester City and German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Barcelona midfielder Frenkie De Jong. It was revealed that the two clubs are still interested in the Dutch international despite his recent slump in form.


De Jong, 24, started this season well but he has suffered a dip in form in recent weeks. He produced an average performance in the El Clasico last weekend as Barcelona lost 2-1 at home to their arch rivals, Real Madrid. David Alaba and Lucas Vazquez scored for Madrid either side of the half-time interval, while summer signing Sergio Aguero came off the bench to score his first goal in a Barcelona shirt.

AJAX BOSS FAVOURITE FOR BARCELONA JOB

Ajax Amsterdam manager Erik Ten Hag is the new favourite for the Barcelona job which is currently occupied by Dutch tactician Ronald Koeman. The new development involving Ten Hag was revealed by Catalonia Radio. It was stated that the Ajax boss is being considered as the man to replace Koeman in the Barcelona dugout.

A lot of names have been linked with the Barcelona job in the past days and weeks including the usual suspects like club legend Xavi Hernandez and Roberto Martinez. Big names such as Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, Liverpool boss JurgenKlopp and a few surprises such as Andrea Pirlo and Oscar Garcia have also been mentioned in the media as regards the Barcelona job.

Catalan giants Barcelona are reportedly considering a transfer swoop for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) attacker Kylian Mbappe. The report from Spanish publication SPORT said that Barcelona are considering whether or not to rival Real Madrid for the Frenchman.

Mbappe, 22, has less than a year on his current deal at PSG as he has refused to sign a new contract with the French Ligue1 leaders. PSG have offered him a new deal on several occasions but the player has rejected those offers till date. He was also the subject of several bids from Real Madrid before the summer's transfer window ended last month. Real Madrid offered more than €200m for his transfer despite having just a year left on his PSG deal.

BARCELONA SIGNINGS SHOW QUALITY AGAINST SOCIEDAD

Barcelona fans saw some of their new signings in competitive action for the first time during the Spanish La Liga opener against Real Sociedad on Sunday. Dutchman Memphis Depay,Spanish defender Eric Garcia and Brazilian fullback Emerson Royal were the new signings on show as Barcelona beat Real Sociedad 4-2 at home to start thenew league campaignwith a win.

Depay and Garcia started the league encounter against Real Sociedad, while Emerson came on as a substitute in the second half.

GRIEZMANN WILLING TO TAKE PAY CUT TO STAY AT BARCA
