BARCELONA STAR NETO OFFERED €2 MILLION PER YEAR CONTRACT BY NAPOLI

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Barcelona goalkeeper Neto is negotiating a contract with Serie A giants Napoli as he pushes for an exit from Camp Nou this summer. The Brazilian international has been offered a deal worth €2 million-a-year by the Partenopei, but he is seeking an additional €300,000. Neto’s time at Barcelona is coming to an end. The 33-year-old Brazilian joined the club in 2019 from Valencia but has struggled for game-time during his spell at Camp Nou, having had to play second-fiddle to Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Neto has been pushing for an exit from Barcelona for quite some time now. And the La Liga behemoths are ready to sanction a departure this summer, with Inaki Pena ready to take over as ter Stegen’s understudy. To that end, the Blaugrana omitted Neto from their pre-season tour of the US so that he can sort out his future at the earliest. A move to Celta Vigo seemed close until Neto decided not to join the La Liga rivals. Following that, he has been offered to Napoli, who are in the market for a new goalkeeper following the exit of David Ospina.

GIRONA OFFICIAL HINTS AT MOVE FOR BARCELONA OUTCAST SAMUEL UMTITI

Speaking on Que T’hi Jugues (h/t SPORT), Pere Guardiola, the president of the board of directors of Girona FC, has claimed that the newly-promoted La Liga side could be in contention to sign Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti in the summer transfer window. The French international’s career has completely stalled over the past couple of seasons, with injuries and poor performances seeing him drop out of favour at Barcelona. The Catalan giants were pushing to offload him last summer but he managed to convince president Joan Laporta to give him another opportunity.

However, that did not work out for Umtiti as he spent much of the 2021/22 campaign out injured and played just one official game all season. With Barcelona intent on cost-cutting this summer, the French international is one of the priority candidates who are likely to be shown the exit doors. Umtiti has attracted interest from clubs in Ligue 1, but his salary is proving to be a major hurdle for any transfer to go through. Premier League giants Arsenal have also been offered a chance to sign the injury-prone defender in the ongoing transfer window. But the Gunners have shown little interest in the centre-back.

JUVENTUS INTERESTED IN BARCELONA STAR CLEMENT LENGLET

Serie A giants Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Clement Lenglet from Barcelona in the summer transfer window. According to a report by Spanish publication SPORT, Clement Lenglet is the subject of interest from Juventus over a possible move in the summer transfer window. The Serie A giants want to secure the services of the Barcelona defender on a loan deal, with Tottenham Hotspur also vying for his signature.

Clement Lenglet has seen his stock plummet at Barcelona in the last two seasons. The Frenchman was once the first-choice centre-back for the Blaugrana but has now become a squad option after the advent of Ronald Araujo and Eric Garcia’s return to Barcelona last summer

BARCELONA RECEIVE €15M OFFER FOR DEPAY

Five-time European champions Barcelona have reportedly received a €15m offer for Dutch forward Memphis Depay ahead of this summer's transfer window. This is according to Spanish journalist who stated that the offer is from an unnamed Premier League club.

BARCELONA STAR BEING EYED BY FELLOW LA LIGA RIVALS

It is pretty much known that despite positive words, Xavi does not really count on Riqui Puig. That, coupled with the arrival of Franck Kessie will only complicate matters for the youngster, and that is why Celta Vigo are currently trying to work on striking a deal in the summer.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, the 22-year-old has not met his manager’s expectations and Barça will have no problems in parting ways at the end of the season. In fact, his departure will only help the team in freeing up space in an already clustered wage bill.

BARCELONA BEAT GALATASARAY, REACH EUROPA LEAGUE QUARTERS

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the winner as Barcelona fought back from a goal down to beat Galatasaray 2-1 on Thursday to book their spot in the Europa League quarter-finals, while Andriy Yarmolenko scored an extra-time winner as West Ham knocked out Sevilla.

After a goalless first leg at the Camp Nou last week, Xavi Hernandez’s Barca trailed on aggregate in the last 16 when Marcao headed Galatasaray into a 28th-minute lead on the night in Istanbul. But 19-year-old midfielder Pedri drew the visitors level before the break.

BARCELONA ASSEMBLING POSSIBLE SUMMER SIGNINGS

Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona are reportedly working really hard behind the scenes to assemble their future players as the summer transfer window continues to approach so fast. The Catalan giants have, according to reports, come close to completing the free transfer signing of Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen.

The 25-year-old is in the final few months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and having already completed part of his medical, he is expected to finalise a Bosman switch to Camp Nou imminently, before arriving at the club in the summer.
Now, Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is claiming that the Catalan giants are far from done with their forays into the free-agent pool. Once the deal for Christensen is over the line, Barça will turn their focus on closing agreements to sign his Chelsea teammate and captain Cesar Azpilicueta, along with AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie and AFC Ajax right-back Noussair Mazraoui.

BARCA EYE POSSIBLE TRANSFER FOR PIQUE REPLACEMENT

Barca have been hailed for their transfer ambition of having enough attackers in their squad and they moved to achieve that goal by signing a couple of forwards in the January winter transfer window to that effect. However, in order to establish a balance in the squad, they would also have to sign defenders, an area where they are currently lagging behind. With Gerard Pique rapidly approaching the end of his career, and Eric Garcia also not yet reaching the expected heights, there is a need for Xavi to bring in at least one solid defender in the summer.

BARCELONA’S AWAY GAMES CONTINUES

Barcelona has played four games already in 2022, with two more games to go before January draws to a close. One thing that most people won’t have noticed is the fact that all five games have been away from Barca’s home ground. What’s more shocking is the fact that the remaining two games would also not be played in Camp Nou.
